95% of IESE MBA graduates find employment within 3 months of graduation

  • New employment reports for MBA and MiM program show continued desirability to recruiters

Despite a turbulent global economy, the career prospects of IESE’s MBA and Master in Management students continue to look bright.

According to IESE’s newly released MBA employment report for the Class of 2022, 95% of graduates secured a job offer within three months after graduation. Additionally, 22% of the class leveraged their experience at IESE to make the challenging career “triple jump” consisting of a simultaneous change in industry, job function and geography.

The report highlights how IESE remains a destination of choice for top recruiters, with the school connecting leading companies with IESE talent over the last year through a number of activities and structured recruitment activities.

ABInBev, Adidas, Amazon, Bain & Company, Citi, McKinsey & Company, Novartis, Pepsico and Uber were among the top recruiters for the MBA class of 2022, which comprises 376 students, 32% of them women, of 50 different nationalities.

According to the 2022 employment report, consulting remains the most popular destination for IESE MBAs, attracting 33% of Class of 2022 alumni seeking employment. Diversified industries (28%) and finance (21%) were the next most popular sectors, followed by technology (18%). Within the industrial sector, healthcare was the most popular choice, with 11% heading into that industry.

In terms of geography, the 2022 report shows that Europe (excluding Spain) was the most sought-after region to work in, with 37% of graduates accepting jobs there. Following that was Spain (23%), Latin America (20%), Asia-Pacific (8%), the Middle East & Africa (7%) and North America (4%).

However, the most notable trend was that of geographic change, with 69% of graduates changing location, 58% their sector and 52% their function.

Meanwhile, the latest Employment Report for the Master in Management (MiM), shows that 96% of Class of 2022 found a job within three months of graduation. The MiM program, launched in fall 2019 and taught in English from IESE’s Madrid campus, attracts younger students with college degrees but less professional experience than their MBA counterparts.

According to the report, consulting is the most popular sector for IESE MiM graduates, attracting 40% of the Class of 2022 seeking employment. Financial services (21%), consumer goods (14%) and technology (14%) were the next most popular sectors.

The top recruiters of the IESE MiM Class of 2022 include Amazon, Citi, Coca Cola, Credit Suisse, LVMH, McKinsey & Company, P&G and PwC.

The MiM Class of 2022 is comprised of 76 students, 30% of them women, of over 25 nationalities. The average age at graduation was 24 years old.
